I am so sorry, we lost our Henry in 05 and I can still start crying if I think to much about him. He was the best pet anyone could have had. I wish I could say the pain goes away when you get a new pet but it just dims instead because you do not think of them all the time but the moment you do the pain is still right there. Henry was always there when we were first married and my elder husband was gone doing his elder things, I felt so very, very alone but I could come home to Henry and he would always be there, in someways he was my only friend, he was just the best.
Our new furry children are great but Henry let a huge hole in my heart that will never totally heal.
I am so sorry for your loss.

Does God really have a personal name?
by XPeterX inthe bible says that the personal name of god is jehovah/yahweh/jah etc.thing is,we don't know it's correct pronounciation (or the pronounciation of any hebrew name).the name jehovah as we know it today means "he causes to become".someone who causes something to become is just called "creator" or "maker".right?he gave that name to his self so that people or the angels could call him by a name.also, how was he called before the creation of the anything?how can some people claim to be his friends if they don't know his actual name?discuss.

I totally agree with you Watkins even Jesus at Matthew 6: 9 and 10 does not call God by his first name but says "Father" and "may your name be Hallowed or honored." If the name Jehovah was to be used would not Jesus have used it here of all the places in the Bible.
This scripture is the one that really gets to me the most because it was on of the first door to door presentations I was taught to use in field service to convince people that we are to call God by his first name because Jesus says to honer God's name by using it. It made total sense to me as a born in JW teen who knew no better but now it just makes me shake my head at how I could not see how wrong it was. If the JW's were right then then Matthew 6: 9 and 10 should read 'You must pray, than this way. Jehovah in the heavens, let your name be sanctified let your kingdom come let your will take place in heaven also upon earth.' But Jesus did not use the word Jehovah because he had respect for his father and called him "Father" like we all should.

Sadly that is how I tried to reason it out in my mind until a sexual psychopath pedophile moved into my hall and I had to face reality. And yes his court records calls him in incurable sexual psychopath but none of the elders would look at his public court records. It was then that I had to decide that the religion was crazy.

And to think I took a vow of poverty to help built 90 sands, I am paying for it now with my heath by having another surgery on the 24th of this month to repair myself from all the heaving lifting I was demanded to do because Jehovah never asks more of us then he knows we can give. I guess Jehovah did not know that women should not lift 90 pound over their heads all day long, but I digress, but hey they get a third of a bullion dollars out of it so its all good. Just wish they would kick in for my doctor bills.

That pedophiles have a right to go door to door, not only is it OK but that I as an elders wife had to drive them around in my car as demanded to me by the CO.

I knew this was coming but to actually see it was another thing.
I am a huge Dave Ramsey follower where he hates debt and charging on credit cards. He totally feels everyone should be out of debt and pay cash only. That everyone needs to do plastic Plastic surgery to cut up their credit cards. He starts his show by saying "Debt is dumb, cash is king and the paid off home mortgage has taken the place of the BMW the status of choose in America."
I listen to him while I work and he makes so much sense about staying out of debt, etc. So about a week ago he got a call from a Pastor asking what Dave felt about putting card machines in his church so members could give their donations on line. Dave told the pastor that using debit cards was OK as it is like using cash but to put a credit card machine in his church would be going against the Bible as the Bible clearly tells us to never be in debt. Dave said to accept credit cards would be so wrong as it would encourage members to not be good stewards of their money and keeping them enslaved to this system who worships at the altar of debt and then they become enslaved to making payments that they should not have charged and that now they cannot pay back.
To me Dave makes so much sense and then I see on the JW web sight. "The following payment methods are available: Visa, Mastercard, American express, and Discover."
It just makes me speechless here a worldly person like Dave Ramsey gets it and yet the GB just wants their members to be enslaved even more than what they are by speeding money on car gas and car repairs while going out in service. In fact there is a elder who while he was a MS went bankrupt pioneering. The last time I heard his story he still felt he was right to bankrupt because he was doing Jehovah's will pioneering and it was not his fault that he could not afford tires and gas and the only way was to charge it to credit, but he says he was doing Jehovah's will.
It is just crazy. LITS
